§ THE HUMANS
Built by people who log off.
Tribela is a small, intentional team building the kind of social platform we wanted for ourselves, our kids, and the people we love. No growth hacks. No attention extraction. Just the work.
§ THE TEAM

Natalie Boll
FOUNDER & CEO
Natalie spent twenty years inside the machine — producing for CBC, Netflix, Amazon, HGTV, the Food Network. She has directed a feature documentary now airing on CBC, line-produced franchise films, run a globally recognised restaurant in Vancouver Gastown, and was named to the city's 40 Under 40.
She is also the mother of three. That is the part that matters most. Tribela exists because she could not, in good conscience, hand her kids the internet she helped build.
After two decades watching media optimise for attention at any cost, Natalie went back to school — Oxford's Advanced Management & Leadership Programme, the Women's Leadership Programme, Harvard Business School Online, Yale's Science of Well-Being for Teens, the Center for Humane Technology's Foundations of Humane Technology, even CS50 — to build the alternative herself.
Tribela is now live in 40+ countries with paying members, incubated at Oxford University Innovation, and validating a model that is not built on advertising.
Her work sits at the intersection of design, culture, and real-world experience. Tribela is what happens when someone who actually understands media decides to build the version their kids deserve.
Lindsay Powell
CO-FOUNDER · CHIEF EDUCATION & COMMUNITY OFFICER
Lindsay has spent more than a decade in education — working with schools, communities and organisations to help young people build the kind of confidence that holds up in the real world. She is also the mother of two girls, which is the part that quietly drives everything else.
She holds an MSc in Learning & Teaching from the University of Oxford, a PGCE from the University of Reading, and a BSc from the University of Nottingham — a background that bridges pedagogy, behavioural science, and biology. She thinks about how humans learn, why we behave the way we do online, and what it takes to design a place worth belonging to.
"We all need to prioritise our wellbeing online and in real life — giving our energy and time to people and places that bring us positivity and joy rather than noise and rage. Tribela is a space designed for us to share and connect in a positive way, without being manipulated to be there or stay there."
As Chief Education & Community Officer, Lindsay leads how Tribela shows up in schools, in homes, and in the lives of young people learning to be online for the first time.

Connor Bryan
CO-FOUNDER & HEAD OF ENGINEERING
Connor leads Tribela's platform — backend, and AI, ML — with privacy built in from the first line of code. He helped ship the MVP and the AI moderation layer, all aligned to AADC and GDPR.
He holds a BSc in Computer Security and an MSc in Data-Intensive Physics, specialising in machine learning, gravitational wave analysis, and cryptography. He is pursuing a PhD in gravitational wave science or AI ethics next.
A former GB athlete, Connor moved from competing into coaching, and from coaching into mental-health advocacy for athletes — founding a movement to help them recognise their value beyond sport. The discipline of incremental goals, time, and care for the human behind the performance is the same lens he brings to building Tribela's engineering culture.
Intentional products are built by disciplined, hyper-focused engineers. Connor is the reason ours is.
§ THE REST
A small team. On purpose.
We work with engineers, designers, advisors and partners across Oxford, Vancouver, Berlin and beyond — including Oxford University Innovation, K-ID and AWS. We are deliberately not hiring at scale. Calm products are built by calm teams.
